Besides being a music teacher with piano and voice as my instruments, I am involved in a number of projects which maintain my connection to contemporary music through song writing and performing. Most of my efforts are directed towards my project Berne – www.berneofficial.com, writing and performing songs that have been described as ‘haunting, almost spiritual’. The debut EP ‘Conversation’ was released a year ago together with a music video for ‘In The Woods’ – goo.gl/44Jn8R.

At the start of 2016, I joined singer-songwriter Rob Harbour’s band as backing vocalist. The debut single ‘Tower Bridge Road’ was recorded at KORE Studios – . To commemorate the launch of debut EP ‘The Lighthouse’ two weeks ago, we went on tour with performances in London (Zigfrid von Underbelly), Brighton (The Brunswick) and Oxford (The Star and East Oxford Community Centre). As well as performing to and reaching new audiences, this was a highly rewarding experience both as a singer, as backing vocals require different skills to solo singing, and as a musician, to be working with talented musicians in a band environment.

Both these projects, Berne and Rob Harbour, will be performing at Proud Camden on Sunday 9th November. I hope to see some of you there!

I’m excited to announce that I will be performing at Proud Camden this Sunday, November 9th, with two of my projects – Berne and Rob Harbour. As a music teacher with a focus on piano and voice, I also maintain a connection to contemporary music through songwriting and performing.

Berne, my primary project, features haunting and almost spiritual songs that I’ve written and perform. We released our debut EP ‘Conversation’ a year ago and have since been working on new material that we’re excited to share with you.

In addition to Berne, I’m also a backing vocalist for singer-songwriter Rob Harbour’s band. We recently recorded our debut single ‘Tower Bridge Road’ at KORE Studios, and to commemorate the launch of our debut EP ‘The Lighthouse,’ we went on tour with performances in London, Brighton, and Oxford.

Performing with both Berne and Rob Harbour has been a highly rewarding experience for me as a singer and musician. As a music teacher, I believe it’s essential to continue learning and growing as an artist, and these projects allow me to do just that.

I’m thrilled to be performing with both Berne and Rob Harbour at Proud Camden this Sunday and hope to see some of you there!
