Mozart No. 9
It is an enormous honor for me to be able to collaborate with this outstanding orchestra: Camerata of London. Jeunehomme is spectacular from any corner we can look at it. It is a fresh yet deep work by a young Mozart. Full of crisp passages and fast scales it is very challenging yet playable.
I took the freedom of composing 4 new cadenzas to it so I could put a bit more of me into it in addition to the performance. I used materials from all around it while the harmonic progressions are totally fresh!
This is a very odd work from my portfolio, basically because is on almost strict classical style. The second movement starts to depart from the tradition just a bit, and I hope, enough to give certain nobility to the work that otherwise would have ended being to match of a stylistic rehearsal.
I will also be conducting this one, so I better go back to training :) …
