Senior Violin Teacher
Yulia S., a 22-year old violinist born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine and moved to London to study a Bachelor degree at the Royal Academy of Music with the Maestro György Pauk. Also studied under the guidance of professor Robin Wilson, on a complete scholarship.
She started playing the violin at the age of 5. During her studies at Chernivtsi Music School no.1 and Chernivtsi College of Arts, where was a laureate and winner of various Ukrainian and international competitions – International Violin Competition named after Myron Polyakin (2nd prize), International Festival-Competition named after Bogodar Kotorovich in Kyiv, Ukraine (3rd prize), International competition “Lviv virtuoso” in Lviv, Ukraine (2nd prize), International Competition of Young Musicians in Zagreb, Croatia (1st prize and Special Award).
Her soloist repertoire consists of violin concertos by Bruch, Saint-Saëns, Mendelssohn, Vieuxtemps, Khachaturian and Sibelius performed with Chernivtsi Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed solo with an orchestra in Clara Schumann Hall (Frankfurt) and Robert-Schumann-Saal (Düsseldorf) in 2022. Yulia took part in music festivals Wiener MusicSeminar (Austria), Hiiumaa Homecoming Music Festival (Estonia), Música en Compostela (Spain), and she regularly performs in concert halls in England as part of chamber ensembles and solo. She is a former member of Chernivtsi Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, first violins group (2020-2022) and a current member of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine under the button of Oksana Lyniv, first violins group (2020-now).
